Onboard is a very good Software keyboard


In lutris you can give each Games own resolution. Test a little in settings for each Game to set Higher resolution

I will build an Image of psxitarch with hopefully all that Apps. Just for backup

hello - tastebin about ds4drv, i dont do with that anything at this moment. But antimicrox, ive donne some settings, configuration for two gamepads, for ds4 and xbox sx, thats same.

Yes youre right, life in jail is much cooler now with PS4 and installed linux on shes hdd. Now can do many things, many then on the Xbox SX - on it, is some good apps like 7zip, file managers, good media players and cheap games from Argentinas region. Thats all.

But PS4 totally free gaming, and many apps, emus, its awesome.

About my thanks on ps4linux, i think it was good idea, i could imagine noobs faces toobecause im newby too, but have done some big progress. Try to learn and know some things, searching the info there and there, prepare to read more infos, try to do some things. And there i am, with old PS4 linux distro, which now is updated, and working great.

About Lutris and Wine, Winetricks.
Because im newby, i dont know all things and tips a lot. But, looks like wine working, because im already installed Warcraft 2 battlenet.edition trough exe. Downloaded frome some place on the web. Homm3 HD edition. That two games are good.

But, there is some issues in that Lutris, wine, winetricks.
1. Because when i intalled exe trough Lutris, i saw message that winetricks old, github down, do selfupdate to latest version. Okay ive do that.
After tryed install game .exe - saw message error 256... Wine or Lutris dont see winetricks latest version. When typing in terminal
winetricks --version ; it shows latest 2024....
But in lLutris when installing exe, old version 2023...
2. Tried to install some old games .exe NFS Porshe Unleashed, NFS Underground, And Warcraft 3 Frozen trone.
NFSU working.
NFS porshe - runs in very small screen then fails.
Warcraft 3 - some times installs, but cant run it,
tryed to run it from different way from file where its installed. Nothing, same things happens, the screen is blinking.

So, maybe you know something and could give some advice how to resolve that, maybe somewhere is like forum or tutorials for how to run wine, install games on ps4 linux?
Because i think the tutorials for ps4 linux and other systems isnt similar. Theyre different.

I looked into this and recognize there is no tutorial for installing winetricks on arch distro.

Indeed In most cases you can use Tutorials from "normal" Linux distros. But some system parts need to be changed in kernel or initram If you go deeper to system.

first, i would try to uninstall winetricks and reinstall lutris. Maybe it works this way.

Okay, i try to do that, today i installed
Age of empires 3 complete edition
Loads great like Homm3, with settings
wine stugging
Win 7
Downloaded all fonts. But with that NFSporshe,
Cant start any race, screen turns black, and error something about directx7. If continue anyway, black screen but game running i hear the sounds at start line. So i may try some different methods and settings.

If i remember right lutris download its own Versions of wine, proton etc.

If it is ok for you, i will order a little clean up here. Just for optical.

Hello tastebin new week, new troubles
So need some advice or help.

1. Ive got new 1TB Seagate HDD. Just push it to ps4 and done jb. Then moved to it my salientOS linux.img 100gb copy from other 500gb hdd.

And finally Question - How i could to expand or resize that 100gb copy of linux.img?
I would to do that some bigger maybe 200gb...

Have read many infos on web about resize partitions on flashed usb. But its not my situation. Other thing is that the file manager dont mount exfat systems, but fdisk and gparted see them and could only format or resize partitions. Second - ive installed exfat-utils but exfatprogs was removed. Now i can mount and see files on exfat usb/hdd.

I think maybe i could somehow just took it linux.img like mount it and resize, or that is stupid thing?

sorry it is impossible so far to expand a working image. only way is to build a new greater one. sorry

First Step:

Backup your existing linux to install later on bigger Arch.img

1. Open Terminal.
2. Type cd / and press Enter.
3. Assuming you want to name the backup file arch.tar.xz, type sudo tar -cvJpf arch.tar.xz --exclude=/arch.tar.xz --exclude=/var/cache / and press Enter.
4. If that doesn’t work, try this – sudo tar -cvf arch.tar.xz --exclude=/arch.tar.xz --exclude=/var/cache --one-file-system / -I "xz -9".
5. After the process is complete, you will find the file arch.tar.xz in the root folder of your distro.

mostly the second command works, the first command freezes

Second Step:

after putting your backup to a safe place, delete the old Arch.img

now use nazky initramfs.cpio.gz with codedwrench kernel 5.15.15 patched by saya

very good performance patches

nazky uses exec install-HDD.sh for internal install

now install your backup to go on where you did shutdown, but with bigger Arch.img.

special hint:
if you make a folder at /user/home -maybe /user/home/DISTROS
you can store several Arch.img's and distros and switch between just changing your Arch.img sending to /user/home/

Its a good way i think. But...
At this moment. Im already have some copy of my linux.img 100gb updated on external hdd

And your solution is - do backup copy from terminal with command, then to install it on internall hdd. But i cant install on internal dont have eap key. Or you trying to tell me that i could install it on externall hdd where was my backup copy, what ive dont understanded from first read of your message. And after these steps i could place new linux.img to my ps4 internall hdd. Or im wrong?

oh with my method you dont need the eap step ;-)

place backup, kernel and initram at /user/system/boot
start linux 1gb payload

exec install-HDD.sh

nazky's initram will ask you for size, build the img and install the backup
thats all dude.

now you know where the support has gone XD

this way you can very easy install almost every distro on internal -one or two exclusions.

The last Distro is preconfigured for your purposes
It is no longer ending with .tar.gz. I repacked it to .tar.xz

full updated, 8GB Swap, yay and Aura installhelper, Jdownloader2, onboard and Brave Browser (because i love its adblocking^^)

for installing start 1gb Payload
